Arnett Farms

Since the early 1900’s the Arnett family has been growing and selling farm fresh produce.  The farm sells more than 200 varieties of stone fruits, citrus and berries.  They diligently load the best of the Fresno, California fruit to serve Farmers' Markets from LA to Irvine.

On Saturday mornings navigating their fresh fruit stand at the Farmers’ Market takes strategy. The bounty of bright orange, cream and rosy summer stone fruit is now in launch mode.








The apricots, dark purple and nearly black plums, pluots,yellow and white peaches and nectarines are teasing us toward the peak of their succulent summertime essence.








Because of the generosity of the Arnett crew, tasting each and every fruit before choosing the sweet and juicy best is encouraged. By 9 am the two lines are winding around the myriad of serious shoppers with cumbersome carts. Watch your toes!








This is the season of the dribbling sweet fruit of your childhood!

Creating luscious but not too sweet fruit crisps, cobblers and pies is on the top of my list this week.

    mmm… fruit crisps, pies and cobblers! is there anything tastier? 😉 The problem I have with making these is that I eat the fruit before it can make it into a dessert! I am ready for a summer filled with delicious stone fruit treats!

    I’ve been a fan of Arnett Farms pluots since I discovered them last year at the Hollywood Farmers Market. Alas, that Farmers Market is closing and I don’t know where else I can buy Arnett Farms fruit. Do you or anyone else know other SoCal Farmers Markets where Arnett Farms is a vendor?
